Overview
Ethics for Professional Accountants
This subject is about professional ethics in an accounting environment. It seeks to ensure that you have an excellent understanding of why accountants need to act ethically, of the principles of ethical working, of what is meant by ethical behavior at work, and of when and how to take action in relation to unethical behavior and illegal acts.

Spreadsheets for Accountants
This subject is about using spreadsheets to accurately enter, analyse and present information so that informed accountancy judgements can be made. The skills and knowledge from this subject integrate spreadsheet use within the accountancy subjects.

Advanced Synoptic Assessments
This subject asks you to apply knowledge and skills gained across the qualification in an integrated way, within a workplace context. Scenarios change over time to ensure validity.

Main Capabilities
On successful completion of this subject, you will:
1. Demonstrate an understanding of the relevance of the ethical code for accountants, the need to act ethically in a given situation and the appropriate action to take in reporting
2. Prepare accounting records and respond to errors, omissions and other concerns, in accordance with accounting and ethical principles and relevant regulations questionable behaviour
3. Apply ethical and accounting principles when preparing final accounts for different types of organisation, develop ethical courses of action and communicate relevant information effectively
4. Use relevant spreadsheet skills to analyse, interpret and report management accounting data
5. Prepare financial accounting information, comprising extended trial balances and final accounts for sole traders and partnerships, using spreadsheets

Assessment
Format: Computer based
Availability: On demand at EIMF Examination Center
Pass: A score of 100 out of 150 will represent a Pass
Length: 180 minutes
Questions: Contains 5 tasks
Marking: Partially computer/partially human marked
Results: Results will be available in six weeks.
